Two weeks ago, when I asked for prayer needs during the Sunday Service, one of our members came for prayer. She walked with great difficulty and it was evident that she was in pain. I asked her what she wanted me to pray for.
She told me that she could not lift her right arm because her shoulder was hurting so much and that both legs were hurting badly all over.
Immediately, I told the pain in her shoulder to go in Jesus’ name, then grabbed her hand and pulled it all the way up. She started to move her arm and to her great surprise, she could not feel any pain and she could freely move her arm.
Then I asked her how her legs were doing and she told me that they were still hurting as before. So I replied, good. We are going to pray for them, too!
I commanded the pain to go from her legs, in the name of Jesus and I asked her to move and see how her legs were feeling. She said, “They still hurt.” Then I asked if the pain was as bad as before. She check it by moving and said that the pain was 50% better. I said, “Fine, let’s get rid of the other 50%” and prayed again as I did before. After that, the pain was only 20%. I prayed again and the pain was completely gone. She left the prayer line rejoicing and walking normally. Everybody could see the big change in her walk.
After two weeks the pain had not returned.
The results of prayer are not always instantaneous. At times, we need to persevere. Even Jesus prayed twice for a blind man to completely restore is sight. (Mark 8:22-26)
