The Bible is the source of our doctrines and our practices. Our beliefs are the basis of our fellowship (1 Cor 1:10, Acts 2:42).
The Word of God
We believe that the Bible is God’s message to every human being. It is the only inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16)
One God
We believe there is only one eternal God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Mt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14)
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man. He was born from a virgin and lived a sinless life. He performed miracles as described in the gospels. He died for our sins, demonstrating His love for all people. He physically arose from the dead on the third day. Later, He ascended into heaven to sit at the Father’s right hand. Now, He is the Head of the church and intercedes for believers. (Col 1:15-20, John 1:1-19, 10:30-33, 1 Cor 15:3-4)
Man’s Sinful State
We believe that from birth, we are in a sinful state. Spiritual rebirth by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation. (John 3:3-5)
Salvation
To receive salvation from man’s sinful state, we must recognize that we are guilty of sinning before God, repent, and trust that Christ has taken on Himself the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. This salvation includes forgiving sins, removing the curse of the Law, and eternal life. God gives freely this salvation because of His love. Good works cannot procure it. (John 3:16, Rom 6:23, Eph 2:8-9)
Divine Healing
We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross provides healing for the soul and body in answer to believing prayer. (Mt 8:17, 1 Pet 2:24, Jam 5:14-16)
The Ministry of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in all believers to comfort, teach, and enable them to live holy lives. He also distributes spiritual gifts to believers according to His will. (John 14:26, 16:13, 1 Cor 12:4-11)
The Church
We believe that all believers together are part of the universal church. The Bible also instructs all believers to gather in local assemblies for worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and celebration of baptism, communion, weddings, and funerals. (Acts 2:42-47, Heb 10:25)
The Second Coming of Jesus
We believe in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will return to earth in bodily form, in power and glory, to rule for one thousand years. (Acts 1:9-11)
Resurrection and Judgment
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost: the former to everlasting life with Christ and the latter to everlasting separation from God. (Mt 25:46, John 14:1-6, Acts 24:15)
